The Atlas Orthogonist will reposition the skull onto the neck by adjusting the Atlas with a highly scientific percussion instrument that will globally realign the entire spine. The doctor will do this using a specific line of drive for each individual’s needs that is calculated by carefully analyzing x-ray films of the patient’s neck that may show altered alignment and abnormal biomechanics of the cervical spine. The procedure is completely painless and takes only seconds. There is no cracking or twisting of the neck.

Active Release Techniques (ART) - Dr. Corsello is certified in the Active Release Techniques (ART), which is a method founded by Dr. Michael Leahy, DC, CCSP to diagnose and treat the underlying cause of soft tissue dysfunction, also known as repetitive stress injuries or “overuse” syndromes as well as chronic pain, carpal tunnel, post-operative scar tissue and hyper extension/flexion injury (whiplash). These syndromes cause people to have pain, characterized as sensations of tingling, burning, aching and weakness that they may suffer with for years and that may seem to be otherwise undiagnosable.

Activator Adjustment - The Activator technique is a low force and gentle means of adjusting without causing any unnecessary strain or stress on the patient's body. The Activator is a hand-held instrument that allows for direct adjustment to the place required with a preset amount of gentle force that is always in control.

Acupuncture – Acupuncture is a procedure in which specific points on the body are stimulated to increase blood and energy flow to the area to improve organ function and relieve pain and illness.

Applied Kinesiology – Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a form of diagnosis using muscle testing as a primary feedback mechanism to determine how a person’s body is functioning. Muscle tests are used to monitor the physiologic response to a physical, chemical or mental stimulus.

Athletic Training - Athletic training includes the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities. Sherri is our licensed athletic trainer on staff.

Cold Laser Therapy – The use of low-intensity laser light to reduce pain and inflammation and promote healing.

Massage - Therapeutic Massage is used to compliment chiropractic care. Because muscles are attached to bones and joints, it is very important for them to be relaxed and stretched to aid in adjustments to the skeletal system. Proper alignment helps to ensure the free flow of nerve impulses and circulation of blood and lymph.

Cryotherapy – Cryotherapy is the use of applied moist heat or cool gel pack to relieve pain and muscle spasms.

Cupping – Fire cupping is another method of pain relief used by a licensed acupuncturist. Like acupuncture and acupressure, fire cupping is a technique to promote circulation and stimulate blood flow to a certain area of the body. Instead of stimulating blood flow and nerves with needles or pressure, as with acupuncture or acupressure, they use gentle suction.

Deep Tissue Massage – Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue surrounding the muscle, focusing on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue massage to experience soreness thereafter for a day or two.

Detoxification - We are all exposed to toxins in our environment. These toxins interfere with our bodies’ normal functioning, thus leading to disease. In addition, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, negative thoughts and emotions further inhibit our body’s ability to overcome toxicity. Thus, detoxification is an important component of maintaining health and preventing disease. There are many methods by which to effectively detoxify. At The Corsello Clinic, we help you determine which methods are best for you. We offer ionic foot baths, nutritional supplements as well as detoxification diet protocols at our office to help you to obtain results. nutritional supplementation, and a 3-week detoxification diet protocol at our office to help you obtain results.

Interferential Stimulation - Interferential stimulation is a type of electrical therapy up that uses a medium-frequency of alternating currents to stimulate healing of tissues of injured muscles and joints. The medium-frequency is carried by the two independent circuits of paired electrodes. Interferential stimulation is believed to reduce pain, decrease swelling, and increase blood circulation in damaged tissues, thus stimulating repair and health.

Infrared Therapy – Infrared therapy is the use of light in the invisible spectrum below red to increase circulation by increasing the formation of new capillaries, which are additional blood vessels that replace damaged ones. New capillaries speed up the healing process by supplying additional oxygen and nutrients needed for healing. Ion Cleanse – The Ion Cleanse footbath promotes cleansing of the body’s organs from toxins, heavy metals, pollution, and other harmful substances through the electrolysis of the water. It is also used to increase both physical and mental energy.

Nutrition – Dr. Corsello offers nutritional testing and counseling and provides professional-quality nutritional supplements and vitamins.

Quantum Neurology - Quantum Neurology™ is a collection of techniques that evaluate and restore every major nerve in the body--this systematic rehabilitation allows the body to function more efficiently. More importantly, Quantum Neurology™ focuses on allowing nerves that may be associated with painful or debilitating injuries or conditions to reset or repair so that the body can heal itself. This is accomplished with a specific series of upper and lower body muscle strength tests designed to evaluate the entire spinal cord. If a weakness is found, the doctor works with the patient to stabilize specific areas of the spine, head or abdomen in order to correct each muscle weakness.

Therapeutic Exercise – Dr. Corsello will prescribe specific strengthening exercises for patients with back, neck, and extremity problems. These exercises can decrease pain, prevent muscle deterioration, promote joint health, increase strength, stability and range of motion, and protect against new or recurring injuries. Dr. Corsello will show you how to do the exercises and supervise you until you are comfortable doing them on your own. It's important to keep up with your exercises as prescribed (similarly to drug prescriptions). Studies show that individuals who follow their exercise instructions heal faster than those who do not.

Traction – Intersegmental or Mechanical Traction is a specialized procedure designed to give passive exercise to the 110 joints associated with your spine. "Passive exercise" is only produced with the aid of an outside source, working the muscles and joints without straining them with weight bearing stress. Traction helps to loosen the locked up joints and gives passive motion exercise and therapy that feed the disc between the vertebrae. This helps to return flexibility, elasticity, and preservation to that all-important disc space which protects the opening for the spinal nerve.

Ultrasound - Ultrasound is an extremely high frequency sound that is out of the range of human hearing. The use of ultrasound in alternative medicine is known as therapeutic ultrasonography. Ultrasonography is the use of high frequency sounds to stimulate healing of muscles, joints, tendons, vessels and internal organs.
