What Can I Expect During My First Visit to a Chiropractor?

Generally you can expect to complete a full medical history questionnaire and "new patient" paperwork. You will then consult with Dr. Corsello. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have pertaining to the matter. It is also for Dr. Corsello to express his role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis. A chiropractic exam will be performed which may include orthopedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, leg length analysis and muscle palpation. If you are a candidate for the Atlas Orthogonal technique x-rays will be necessary to determine an exact listing of your atlas bone. X-rays are done at the doctor' s office. The radiographs are then reviewed by Dr. Corsello. At this time, a second appointment must be made to review your x-ray findings. X-ray analysis can be done on the same day if patients are traveling from far distances. Scheduling for same day analysis must be confirmed by our office prior to your first visit.
